Does it work? Yes with the right guidance. If you live in the south you’re delusional to expect zero mosquitos especially dependent if your property has drains, trees and/or areas with standing water or near bodies of water. Unique Outdoor gave us guidance on managing our drains as well to further decrease mosquitos. If you’re allergic to mosquitos or tend to be an attractant, having misters makes a huge difference. Before we had the misting system my husband could not sit outside for more than a few minutes. Recommend if you want stress free service, good responsiveness and consistency. You can argue that you can mix your own drum of mosquitos repellent and it would be cheaper, but you may not be able to guarantee you have the time to inspect your nozzles regularly, make repairs immediately if inspection determines faulty nozzle, have areas taken down and put back up for low cost if there is damage from weather or you need any construction done. This company manages the entire system and maintenance as long as they are providing refills. They communicate well via phone, email and text. Been using company for about 5 years. They are great. They even upgraded our system to wireless with our permission (if there was a cost it was fair and minimal). When state was installed it was a 2 step process. Person came out and mapped out nozzle placement recommendation and provided quote. I was not home when the came. Then they return to install. Installation very professional and discreet. You have to look closely to see misters.

These guys met a hard deadline with excellent work on synthetic turf, landscape borders, and gravel accents. No communication AT ALL.😳 I truly understand Covid-19 has changed the course of norm, but communication is still key. I may have to move on and disregard the ROR. They listened to what I wanted in lighting and designed it based on my needs. Very professional. Also the mosquito system is amazing. It is on the ground so not visible.

They did a great job. They explained what they were going to do and then did it. It took 1/2 day to install and very little prep work on my side.

Unique Outdoors Mosquito Pros were prompt and did exactly what they said they would do. And after two weeks my mosquitoes are almost completely gone.

This whole process and the ideas Mark came up with…. Just so easy and great! Very happy with the finished product! Highly recommend!

Installation was completed promptly. Although exactly how the wiring would be installed up in the eaves and gutters was not clearly explained during the estimate, I was comfortable with the process once done. Two weeks later one light did not come on and I called to report the issue. The next business day a technician was back out to fix the problem. They seem to stand behind their work which gives me confidence to hire them again for any future outdoor lighting work.

This review is long overdue, but I wanted to share my experience not only with the install, but also with the longevity of the product. When I initially spoke with Greg about my vision for the lighting layout, he was able to offer suggestions that complimented my design much more effectively. Unique Outdoor were also able to complete the installation within a 2 week window of our initial consultation. The installation crew arrived on time, were polite and very quick with the install. The only complaint I have was that they did not go over how to make adjustments on the controls for the lighting system. It was not a huge issue as I was able to find a manual online to help guide me. It has been almost a year since the installation and I have not had any problems with the lights. If you are thinking about doing landscape lighting, definitely give them a call. Their team is knowledgeable and offer fair prices.

It's just that they didn't do it in a timely manner, and they did something wrong and had to come back and do it again. It should have taken a couple of days, but it took two or three weeks.

I had lights installed in front of my house and the back patio, I absolutely recommend these people! I was not sure about a light on the roof of the house over the back patio. Greg said that it will look good, and I won’t be sorry. Look good? It looks absolutely stunning there, I would have sat on the patio for hours if there were no mosquitos, I should go for their Mosquito system too!!!

I've used a lot of services for mosquitoes over the years and almost always had mosquitoes in the yard even though all equipment was working. Unique Outdoor seems to understand what it takes year in and out to keep the mosquito population down regardless of the conditions. The price is consistent with other services. One recommendation is to allow them to service the equipment with each visit and pay for the new valves etc. as required. My lawn care people sometimes to a number on the equipment.

We decided to get a mosquito mister from Unique Outdoors, based on a recommendation from a friend. I have to admit I was a little worried we'd spend the $ only to find out the system didn't really do much to control mosquitoes, but I was wrong. We have had virtually NO mosquitos in our yard (front or back!) since we had the mister installed. It is an incredibly easy to use system and has been worth every penny. The customer service @ Unique Outdoor is excellent. I had a few questions before the installation, all of which were answered thoroughly and quickly. We set up an automatic refill service and they showed up exactly on the day we agreed upon months before, ready to go. I even received a courtesy reminder email a few days beforehand so that I wouldn't be surprised. I would strongly recommend getting a mosquito mister from Unique Outdoors to anyone, like myself, struggling to enjoy their back yard (or front yard!) but not wanting to fight off mosquitoes all night long. Where he thought there might be a better option, he explained his reasonings based on previous experiences. Ultimately, I found Ryan's proposal and recommendations to be better then other vendors. Once we decided to over forward, we were contacted by the install team. Although the cost for professional installation is more than buying a lighting package off the shelf at Home Depot, the quality is much better and the end design looks awesome. I waited a while to review this company because we had such a huge quantity of mosquitoes in our yard, I wasn't really convinced anything would solve the problem. We have lots of foliage in our backyard, with a pool and walkways that go in and out of the foliage. I like to spend mornings in the yard, either planting new plants, watering the ones I have, or just generally enjoying the yard. We also have an outdoor kitchen area and enjoy just sitting out in the yard in the evenings. I bought bug spray in three-packs so that I would always have plenty handy just to keep from being miserable from so many mosquito bites. I'm not a huge fan of having to hand a can or spray bottle of bug spray to my friends and family as they enter the yard, but that's what I was having to do. Welcome to the wonderful world of Houston humidity and mosquitoes. Bottom line is that this system was not an instant fix. It takes a few weeks (at least that's what I think) for this system to complete weeding out the mosquitoes. We have had the system now for about 4 weeks. I can tell you that I absolutely love it. I won't say that there is never a mosquito, but we can now sit out in the yard and really enjoy it. I haven't used bug spray at all, as I can handle a rogue mosquito occasionally. The crew who came out was professional, and showed us the simple remote control before they left and made sure we were pleased. I love the fact that we can skip a misting time, if we have company in the backyard, or we can just change the time of the spray easily with the remote. We have the contract for them to come out and replace the chemicals and watch for any problem with the nozzles. One thing that could cause my occasional rogue mosquito is that we only had the backyard treated. We don't entertain in the front, so decided to just do the back. We've been incredibly pleased.

Once I called, a service/sales person made an appointment and arrived on time. They explained the system, had an informative brochure to leave with me, and were responsive to my concerns about hiding the system as much as possible. I received a proposal promptly — (for between $2200 and $2600 depending on some options.) upon my approval they then scheduled installation within two weeks — the installers showed up on schedule, were pleasant to work with, asked me to approve the work before they left (and politely made some tweaks to the location of some nozzles for me), and left the landscaping and site all tidy. (the whole installation only took a morning.) <br /> The whole process was so easy, everyone I came into contact with was polite and patient, and although I didn't get competitive bids, the price was about half of what I was quoted by a landscaping firm earlier in the year. <br /> I didn't ask beforehand what the maintenance contract was, when I received it, it seemed reasonable, so we contracted with them to maintain the system. (it's not mandatory to have a maintenance contract, of course.) <br /> Three or four weeks later — in spite of getting a lot of rain every week, the mosquitoes are 98% gone! We're very pleased!

Mike promptly came to our home to provide an assessment of our property and an estimate. Two weeks later the mosquito mister was installed. It took 4-5 hours to complete. The service contract includes refill of the tank, maintenance of system, and winterizing. We have already enjoyed spending mornings and evenings by the pool and breezeway without mosquitoes and knats! We are happy with the entire process.

Everything was completed on time and in a quality fashion exactly as discussed.

The company does a great job in contacting you for a refill, but I believe the settings should be changed in the fall and winter. They initially advertise that refills should be 4/year but they seem to occur more frequently.

I am very pleased with Unique Outdoor Mosquito Pro. The system works. We would not be able to use our backyard without it.

The service is excellent. However, the misquitoes won the last round. My wife and I went out at aroudn 10 pm a couple of weeks ago and after about 10 minutes n the hot tub, we had between 40-50 bites between the two of us. I know you're the best in town, but don't know if there is a fix for this. We really would like to still have our hot tub time when misquitoes are bad.

Good company and good product. I don't know if it is normal wear and tear but it seems that everytime they come for maintenance, I am having to replace nozzles and have problems with tank running out before it is time for refill.

Just what I needed done to relocate four risers under backyard deck when framed up. Just a minor charge for labor. The mist under the enclosed deck should work well.

However, there is no automatic reminder or indicator to let you know when your misting system is out of solution. Hello Mark- I have noticed that there is a reoccurring problem at each svc visit. That is that the svc tech is not replacing the vinlyl cover that protects the clock timer from water and debris that will sometimes fall from above the porch.

Mark, I had to penalize your guys as they hauled my hose rack around to the side of the house to fill up the tanks and failed to haul it back to its proper place.

My experiences to date have been very good. The service and billing is handled very well. I haven't been through a full mosquito season yet though. That will be the real proof.

I received a referral for this company from our electrician whose opinion I valued. After I called, the owner came to meet with me and assess lighting needs within the week. After I met with him, we had a quote the next day which met with our satisfaction. They immediately scheduled an installation date. The installers were on time, professional,and courteous. The owner stopped by the first night to ensure the lighting was properly installed, timers worked correctly, and we were satisfied. We have asked them to do additional work because we were so pleased by the results. Our landscape lighting is beautiful! I would highly recommend this company.

Great Great Great service before and after sale – I used this company to do my exterior lighting and mosquito system. They were very customer focused and made sure to take the time to explain every detail. I received a detailed quote so that I would know exactly what I was getting and how much it would cost. After the mosquito system and lighting was installed, they had me live with it for one week to make sure that I was absolutely satisfied with it and then did the walkthrough with me. Their service has been excellent and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

It was wonderful. The lighting job was superb. It is something different from anything else in my neighborhood. The follow up has been great. They are not pushy salespeople. The quality for the price was very good.
